For the film of her poem “American Cheese,” Kate Durbin worked with director Jean Coleman and the Brinkerhoff Foundation. “American Cheese” was selected for the ZEBRA film festival in Berlin, NYC PoFest, REELpoetry in Houston, Texas, and was a finalist for La Poesia Che Si Vede in Ancona, Italy in 2026.
Durbin’s poem was originally presented for the Queensland Poetry Festival in 2020 and was also published by Cordite Poetry Review.
